Digital Print Operator – Maplewood, MN

We are currently hiring for a Digital Print Operators with hours 3:00pm – 1:30am, Monday – Thursday. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and printing high quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Logs all jobs in appropriate print logs
  • Loads and unloads substrates of all machines
  • Transfers and rips jobs on printer software
  • Checks that all jobs are printing at the correct size
  • Checks that all jobs are printing with the correct color
  • Checks and maintains print quality throughout entire print
  • Returns all unused print media to rack, making sure it is labeled correctly
  • Verifies that all print jobs are of correct design and that nothing dropped out
  • Keeps track of any bad material letting purchasing agent know
  • Segregates bad prints or bad material and labels them appropriately
  • Talks directly with technicians to solve machine problems
  • Checks ink and solvent levels and maintains proper amounts
  • Cleans print heads routinely
  • Cleans machine inside and out routinely
  • Operates pallet jack, two and four wheel dollies to safely move materials and supplies
  • Utilizes power and common hand tools needed to perform assigned tasks
  • Ensures daily housekeeping tasks are performed within the printing area
  • Performs general tasks as directed by appropriate managers
  • Observes all safety regulations, Forklift and Safety training programs
  • Cross trains to:
    • Matan
    • HP 360
    • Canon Colorado
    • Oce Arizona
    • Mimaki Dye Sublimation and transfer
    • Gerber iCut

Skills and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in digital printing press operation
  • Good basic computer skills for reading and completing work orders, specifications, schedules, company email, etc., including Claris Filemaker, Caldera, Google Enterprise Suite software
  • High attention to detail – both paperwork and finished product
  • Good basic math skills
  • Skilled in use of measurement, using tape measure etc.
  • Ability to perform physical work appropriate to loading and unloading raw materials, stocking, packaging, etc.
  • Walk, stand, bend, stoop, crawl, work on knees, push/pull up to 50lbs
