Comcast Charging Stations

Wrapping Cart and Standing Stations
As part of their work to support underserved communities with internet access, Comcast/Xfinity created free Wi-Fi-connected “Lift Zones.” Lift Zones allow community members to charge their phones and access the internet during natural disasters. With thousands of locations at community centers, nonprofits, and parks, this provided a challenge when it came to distribution across the country.
When they needed custom branded graphics for the cart and charging stations, they called on C2 Imaging to not only create the design, but also manage the installation and distribution.
Not only did they need graphics for the uniquely shaped charging units, but they also needed help with storage. We housed the units in our shop, and coordinated the wraps’ print, installation, and distribution. The carts were challenging to wrap due to their many contours, curves, and vents. Our team chose 3M IJ180 with luster laminate to be able to fit around all the divots of the carts. During wrapping, the installers were careful to cut out the many vents in the carts for a perfect finished product.
The client received 2 charging carts and 15 pedestal charging stations which were delivered via courier or shipped to each of their facilities. Comcast/Xfinity was happy with the finished product and we’re proud to support a great project that helps communities nationwide get needed internet access.
