Don’t Be Left Out in the Cold: Holiday Brand Experiences Heat Up in July

Holiday

It’s July. And while everyone else is reaching into the beach bag for sunscreen, smart brand teams are rummaging through the holiday campaign boxes in the back of the closet.

In other words, it’s never too early to plan your holiday campaigns—April through June is normally the “lock-in” period for everything Q4—so time’s a-ticking if you’re not there yet or have issues you need to address.

The holiday season is the most competitive stretch of the year for attention. Every brand is courting the same shoppers and customers all at once. That’s why winning here doesn’t happen in a November scramble. Planning for the standout windows, immersive pop-ups, large-scale installations, and impressive wraps that turn lookers into buyers must begin now at the latest. Design, production, and installation all take time to get right, and the best surfaces, slots, and ideas get claimed early.

So don’t let the heat and BBQ aromas fool you into thinking the holiday season is a ways off. It’s not. Now is the time to plan and, more importantly, to DO.

To give you an idea of what’s possible—sometimes “last minute”—here’s a look at what Vomela has done for others around the holidays. We can do this and more for you, too.

Bojangles

On the Outside

The call came from Bojangles’ Western NC franchise group: Could Vomela execute a full exterior holiday building wrap—designed, produced, and installed—in a fast turnaround? The answer was, “Yes!” Even with a tight seven-day deadline, Vomela delivered a high-impact wrap that wowed both the customer and the community.

Lladro

In the Window

Lladró needed to showcase its brand and style while standing out from the holiday retail noise around its New York City store. Vomela’s answer—frosted gold and silver snowflakes on a deep blue field—created fresh, modern graphics that did exactly that, and more.

ItsSugar

Inside the Store

At IT’SUGAR’s “Winter Wonderland” pop-up, Vomela turned the floor itself into oversized holiday candy, an immersive, photo-ready detail that made the whole shop worth sharing.

On the Big Stage

For the cast event celebrating A Christmas Story Live!, Moss, a Vomela company, produced the showpieces: a tasseled 85-inch lampshade for a 20-foot-tall lamp and a 10-by-9-foot “FRAGILE” shipping crate, both featured in a Black Friday ceremony at The Grove in Los Angeles for Fox.

Meijer

On the Road

Meijer’s Outbound Logistics team celebrated two decades of holiday tradition with “Operation Good Cheer.” This incredible initiative, started 55 years ago by Child and Family Charities, benefited more than 6,200 kids in 2025. Vomela helped Meijer by wrapping this truck, which transported gifts for children across Michigan.

Holiday under the Stars

In the Mailbox

The best direct mail doesn’t just land—it gives. PFL, a Vomela company, created “Holiday Under the Stars,” a campfire-themed gift box with a cozy blanket, an enamel camp mug, Montana-roasted coffee, and a printed guide, The 12 Ways of Giving, that turns a simple thank-you into a blueprint for smarter holiday gifting.

Five Channels, One Idea

The holidays reward the brands that create experiences that stop people in their tracks.

And this is only a preview. We’ll soon release Holiday VomelaVisions: Brand Experiences Worth Wishing For, a visual catalog of the season’s most memorable retail, event, transportation, and direct mail creations, gathered as inspiration for your own. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, the calendar is doing you a favor. There’s still time to make this your brightest season yet—but the brands that own December are making it all happen now.
