Graphics Company sponsors sculpture as part of St. Paul’s “Doghouse Days of Summer” event

St. Paul, MN: Vomela Specialty Company, a St. Paul based graphics company specializing in high impact digital and screen printed graphics for retail marketing, fleet and other applications, has sponsored a Peanuts sculpture as part of St. Paul’s summer event the “Doghouse Days of Summer”. This year’s statue features Snoopy and his friend Woodstock, on top of Snoopy’s Doghouse. Vomela’s entry, titled “Peanuts for Peace”, was designed by local artist Jennifer Kingsbury. The design features all the mail Peanuts characters creating a ‘circle of friends’ which is completed by the visiting child, who joins the circle by way of a mirrored surface shaped like a child. Snoopy’s house is decorated with the word ‘peace’ translated into 140 different languages, in a rainbow of colors, with the country for each language printed below.

Vomela digitally printed the graphics for the sculpture on vinyl material. The installation or “wrap” of Snoopy’s doghouse was done by Jeff Olson of Color Graphics. Over the past four years nearly 2 million people from all 50 states and 60 different countries have traveled to St. Paul to view the statues of Charles Schulz’s beloved Peanuts characters. The Peanuts for Peace statue will be on display throughout the summer months in front of Vomela’s corporate headquarters in the Lawson Commons building, in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.
